Yasuni National Park - Amazon Tour 4 Days
Explore Ecuador's most important Amazonian reserve, Yasuní National Park.
The trails allow there to be a connection between other places and therefore they are considered as secondary roads and because of this they are not paved. Baños de Agua Santa has some trails, but the most popular are:
Path "Cruz de Bellavista" Viewpoint
Being in the open air, it does not have departure and arrival times and there is no cost for entry. It is located in the Bellavista Sector, Runtún; here you can admire a panoramic view of the city of Baños.
You can get there by bicycle, on foot or you can also pay to go in a chiva, which offer permanent tours to this viewpoint from which you can see the Tungurahua volcano. But it is advisable to hire this service at night with a duration of 2 hours that includes a canelazo. The canelazo is a hot alcoholic beverage that is consumed in the mountainous areas of Ecuador.
Path of the "Pailón del Diablo"
It is one of the highest waterfalls, which, although not the largest, is a popular place. It is located in the parish of Río Verde, and is approximately 80 meters high and 20 meters deep. Through its ecological trails, you can admire the beauty of the orchids that bloom at different times of the year. The cost of admission is $2.50 for adults and $1.50 for children. Its opening hours are from 9:00am to 10:30pm on weekdays and on weekends, from Friday to Sunday 8:00am to 11:00pm. But the hours are extended during weekends especially on holidays.
Path "Los Sauces"
The tour goes from north to south of Baños. It is a walk in the fresh air, where you can see the beautiful landscapes of the area. Discovering a different way of seeing Baños and rural life where agriculture is its main activity, it is an impressive trail ideal to do with family, friends or as a couple.
